Manicures & Pedicure

The manicure and pedicure courses are designed to cover the principles of natural nail techniques and are an ideal course for those wishing to become nail technicians. You will learn how to clean and shape the nails, caring for the cuticles, the manicure routine, the pedicure routine, specialised hand, arm, leg and foot treatments aswell as the health and safety legislation, the structure and function of the nail, skin and the function of the nail growth, skin diseases and disorders, massage for the hand and arm or leg and foot, anatomy and physiology of the hand, arm, foot and leg.

Once you have completed your manicure or pedicure training, you may wish to attend the advanced manicure or advance pedicure courses which will allow you to offer a more deluxe treatment to your clients.

Primary Facials

The main aspect of a facial is to deep cleanse the skin using various methods and products. You will learn how to carry out consultations including skin analysis helping you devise a treatment plan, cleansing, exfoliation, facial massage, mask blending and application. You will also learn about the health and safety legislation, the structure of the skin, skin types, conditions and disorders, anatomy and physiology of the head and shoulders.

Advanced Facial Course

An advanced facial course is also available to those successfully completing the Primary Facial course. During this course you will learn more about the ageing process and the various facial treatments available to help prevent some of the ageing signs.

Waxing

One of the most effective ways of removing unwanted body hair. You will experience waxing areas of the face, and body using warm wax as well as being introduced to roller wax systems and hot wax. You will also learn how to carry out consultations, assessing the hair growth and devise a treatment plan. You will also learn about the health and safety legislation, the structure of the skin and hair and the hair growth cycle.

Make Up

Throughout this course you will learn how to carry out treatments for daytime, evening and bridal make up application. You will also learn about the different techniques used for photographic make up applications as well as being able to enhance features or diminish imperfections. The health and safety legislation is also covered as well as structure of the skin, products used within the treatment, cleansing, toning and moisturising.

Eyelash/Eyebrow Tinting

This is one of the most popular treatments you can offer to your clients and is a great addition to add to your skills. Once you have completed this course you will be able to offer this treatment to your clients offering them a greater emphasis and definition to their eyes.

Eyelash enhancements

Eyelash enhancements are an exciting treatment to offer your clients. During this course you will learn how to apply individual lashes so your clients natural lashes appear thicker and longer. The treatment can also allow clients who have very few lashes to be able to have individual or strip lashes applied to enhance the appearance of their natural lashes. Individual lashes are now one of the most popular eye treatments available to clients, lasting several weeks, with regular infill’s.

Eyelash perming

Eyelash perming will give your client a permanent curl, and is a great alternative to daily use of eyelash curlers. The results are immediate and will last for several weeks and will remain even if the lashes are wet. This treatment is most commonly requested with eyelash tinting, both being able to enhance the other.

Non surgical Face Lifting

A very popular treatment that will allow your clients to enjoy a youthful appearance through the use of a non surgical machine. This is an advanced course for the therapist that would like to extend their skills following the successful completion of a primary facial course. You will learn about electrical safety and care for the equipment and the various types of treatment you will be able to offer.

Facial Electrical Treatments

This is an advanced course for the therapist that would like to extend their skills following the successful completion of a primary facial course. During this course you will learn about the various studies in galvanic, high frequency and ultrasonic treatments.

Body Treatments

We offer a combined body treatment course which includes extremely popular treatments that your client will find relaxing at the same time as stimulating. A body scrub and self-bronzing application treatment which will allow your client to enjoy an all year round tan, a therapeutic back treatment which will help to soften and cleanse the back, using a treatment to purify and cleanse any problem areas, a cellulite control treatment, which will help to reduce cellulite whilst at the same time improving the texture of the thighs and buttocks.

Body Wraps

A very popular treatment for clients embarking on a new health or slimming regime, or even just for a special occasion, this treatment will help to reduce inches and detoxify the body. During this course you will learn about the health and safety legislation, the consultation process, appropriate contra-indications, how to prepare the environment and you will be taught the techniques required to create the maximum lasting effects on the body.

Airbrush Tanning

An increasingly sought after treatment offering the client a flawless tan in the shortest amount of time. We use Bali Sun products, which offer the client a choice of preferred tan intensity. This product is available to purchase from the School upon completion of your training or alternatively you can open an account with Bali Sun who will ship the products to your home or place of work. During this course you will learn about the health and safety legislation, the consultation process, appropriate contra-indications, how to prepare the environment and application techniques as well as use and the care for your equipment.
